ऊर्जा बदलाव की तीसरी कड़ी में हृदयेश जोशी बात कर रहे हैं दिल्ली की अम्बेडकर यूनिवर्सिटी में प्रोफेसर अस्मिता काबरा और ओड़िशा की सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता स्वप्ना सारंगी से।

इस बातचीत में यह जानने की कोशिश है कि खनन और जीवाश्म ईंधन पर आधारित ऊर्जा क्षेत्र में जस्ट ट्रांजिशन का वहाँ पर रहने वाले लोगों की आजीविका और नौकरियों पर क्या प्रभाव पड़ेगा। क्या ऐसे क्षेत्रों में रहने वालों को दूसरे गाँवों और शहरों की ओर पलायन करना पड़ेगा। दोनों विशेषज्ञों ने इस मुद्दे पर भी चर्चा की कि कैसे सरकारों को प्रभावित होने वाले लोगों के लिए रोज़गार के नये साधन खोजने होंगे या फिर कैसे उन्हें नए कौशल सिखाये जा सकते हैं |

In this episode of ‘Urja Badlav’, Hridayesh Joshi speaks to Asmita Kabra, a professor at the Ambedkar University in Delhi, and Swapna Sarangi, who works with Foundation for Ecological Security, in Odisha on environmental issues.

They discuss about the direct and indirect jobs that may be impacted due to the phase out of fossil fuels and the resultant migration that it could trigger. They also examine the need for finding alternate livelihoods and the possibilities of policies that address the rehabilitation and the re-skilling of the workforce.
