去年台灣發生嚴重的珊瑚大白化事件，即便水溫相對較低的台灣東北角海域，珊瑚也面臨白化威脅。在基隆八斗子有一群研究員，致力投入珊瑚苗養殖的保種工作，也觀測到移植至潮境海洋公園的珊瑚苗復育狀況良好。
本集《氣候戰役在台灣》節目這次特別來到國立海洋科技博物館，訪問產學交流組的陳麗淑主任，她當年在美麗的澳洲大堡礁從事珊瑚研究，回國後即參與海科館的珊瑚復育、公民科學家與海洋教育推廣活動，也帶來國際上最新的海洋生態監測技術。
