你知道海洋也有「吸塵器」嗎？來自荷蘭的非營利組織 The Ocean Cleanup 就像一台巨大的「海洋吸塵器」，致力於清除海洋中的塑膠垃圾。它由發明家 Boyan Slat 在 2013 年創立，目前已成功從全球河川與太平洋垃圾帶中清除超過 2,100 萬公斤的塑膠。他們的目標是：到 2040 年，清除全球 90% 的漂浮海洋塑膠。
Did you know the ocean has a vacuum cleaner? The Ocean Cleanup, a non-profit from the Netherlands, works like a giant "ocean vacuum cleaner" to remove plastic from the sea. Founded by inventor Boyan Slat in 2013, the project has already removed over 21 million kilograms of plastic from rivers and the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. Their mission: remove 90% of floating ocean plastic by 2040.
2.德國「Pfandsystem」
在德國，他們實施了一項很有成效的制度，叫做「Pfand 系統」，成功改變了許多人對環境的行為。「Pfand」這個字的意思是「押金」，這個制度的概念是：當你購買飲料時，要另外支付一筆瓶子的押金。喝完之後，只要把瓶子拿回販售該飲料的任何店家，就可以退回這筆押金。
In Germany, they have implemented a remarkable solution called the Pfand System, which has successfully changed the behavior of many people towards the environment. The word „Pfand“ means deposit, and the idea behind the system is that when you buy a drink, you pay a small fee for the bottle. Once you finish the beverage, you can return the bottle to any shop that sells that drink, and you get your deposit back.
