In general, an arborist will not charge by the hour, but rather by the job.

This is because every tree job is different and every tree company is different. One company might be able to remove a tree in 2 hours with a crew of 10 where another will take 2 days with a crew of 3. You will probably find a similar end price.

So for that reason, tree work is quoted on a case-specific bases i.e. job by job.
