Happy Juneteenth!
Juneteenth is a wonderful reminder of how sometime good news travels slow. It took a while for the news of the Abolition of Slavery, which was led by Fundamentalist Christians, Republicans, and Conservatives, to reach Democrat owned Galveston Slaves, but reach them it did on June 19th, 1866. However, the narrative that is being pushed today in regards to Juneteenth is not one of healing and unification nor does the narrative recognize the foundations for the moral outcry against slavery. Instead, the narrative of CRT is the real agenda here and Christians must be aware of the anti-family and racist agenda that CRT is ultimately forwarding.
