05: From Pelvic Pain to Surrogacy. Peta’s Story of Resilience and Recovery.

In this episode, we're excited to introduce our very first guest, Peta Bobbine, an inspiring advocate for both endometriosis and men's mental health. Peta has bravely shared her challenging health journey with her 124,000 followers on TikTok, and today, she's joining us to dive deeper into her story. Peta's journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. After years of enduring pelvic pain and being dismissed by medical professionals, she was diagnosed with Endometriosis, and despite undergoing four surgeries, her symptoms persisted. Later diagnosed with Adenomyosis, Peta made the difficult decision to undergo a hysterectomy, hoping for relief. However, her Endometriosis returned just three months later. Over the past four years, Peta has faced seven laparoscopic surgeries and has also been diagnosed with Interstitial Cystitis and Fibromyalgia. In this episode, we discuss Peta's experiences, the challenges of living with chronic illnesses, and her journey towards surrogacy in Australia, where she and her partner are about to embark on their sixth transfer. Peta’s resilience, positivity, and advocacy are truly inspiring, and we're honoured to have her share her story with us.
