ABOUT OUR GUEST:
Dieter Runge has been involved in IT and digital communications technology since 1991, driven by a passion for improving lives through technology at the intersection of creativity, cognition, and communication. This focus on communication and language led him to the language services and language technology industry in 2001.
Throughout his career, Dieter has held various roles in business and technology research, development, operations, sales, and marketing. He has worked with prominent language service agencies in the US, Canada, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific region. In 2016, he co-founded Boostlingo, a Silicon Valley software start-up now based in Austin, Texas, that has emerged as a global leader in language technology. Boostlingo offers advanced interpretation management and multilingual communication software for onsite, over-the-phone, and video remote interpretation. The company also provides integrated AI tools for language service providers and interpreters, including language detection, captioning, and speech-to-text capabilities.
Recognized as one of the top 100 influencers in the language industry, Dieter is committed to expanding global language access, advocating for its importance in enhancing quality of life and equity worldwide.
Dieter co-authored the textbook "The Remote Interpreter" and actively participates in several industry organizations. He holds a B.A. in Radio, Film, and Television from San Jose State University and an M.Ed. in Educational Psychology from McGill University. He splits his time between and splits his time between Austin and Sydney.
