Creating Cannon

A really fun, original and informative podcast that dives into the prolific library of The Cannon Film Group, with two super smart, funny hosts that have really done their homework. Nick and A.J. have an encyclopedic knowledge and infectious enthusiasm for film, which they use to not only take a closer look at the films, but put them into social and historical context. All while striking a perfect balance between playful irreverence and respectful discussion of problematic issues. Definite recommend.

One of the hosts is getting real comfortable gradually throwing jabs and virtue signaling. Everything is racist and triggering but he sure as heck enjoys the films. I think he protests too much as is usually the way folks like this are. Cool podcast otherwise

Love the podcast. One request, please complete the Death Wish series. The rest of the sequels are peak 80’s Cannon action movies (especially Death Wish IV: The Crackdown!).

Every thing is racist. Everything is triggering. Everything is sexist. Why are these two beta-male soy boys hosting a podcast about an 80s movie production company known for violence and sex when they find almost everything to be “problematic”? I got about 6 minutes into the Hot Resort episode and gave up. I wish someone could give Cannon a fair shake without the social commentary. I honestly can’t even understand how these two are fans when they don’t actually like any of the movies. Hard pass on this one.
