Mike's enthusiasm really shows. He picks interesting topics that are helpful to me as I work on my private certificate. I look forward to taking some of the cross country trips like those covered on the podcasts. The lessons learned from other's experiences are really valuable.

A podcast should be three things: timely; easily digestible; and entertaining. "Why We Fly" is all of those things in spades. Podcaster Mike Harris brings about a discussion quite relevant to the modern reality of aviation: the need to expand the pilot community and reverse the trend of its shrinking numbers. He does this through informative interviews, as well as sharing his own story - one that's all too familiar for a lot of aviators. The short format - rarely longer than a half-hour - keeps the listener from feeling overwhelmed or afraid of investing the time. And Mike makes excellent use of that time, giving the listener a lot of valuable information in an entertaining package. "Why We Fly" is worth the listen, for pilots and non-flyers alike, and breathes new life into the community outreach aviation so badly needs.
