THE LINCOLN CONSPIRACY (PART TWO)
First 24 minutes-we go into depth on conspiracy theories~Mary Todd Lincoln letter suspects VP Johnson~A grand confederate scheme?~Ray Neff suspects Stanton and has answers to JJ Chaffey payments as well as 178 1/2 Water St. telegram~Finds hidden code by Baker says 11 members of congress involved~ At 25 minutes we dig into Finis L. Bates story that Booth told him while he thought he was dying- booth escapes barn and ,heads west, changing his name-later changes name again. Then we share a 1938 Colliers article that gives the full and often hilarious account of how Bates rents Booth's (supposed) mummy to a carnival huckster who soon finds out that the mummy is losing money for him and cursing his show, Then the carnival huckster retires broke to operate a potato farm in Iowa where he is soon found by a lawyer and Booth history buff who becomes convinced that the mummy is Booth and they go on tour., facing all kinds of obstacles. It is one of craziest true stories I have ever shared, (true meaning what they did~I'll leave it up to on the identity of the mummy)..

THE FIGHTING BUNCH- THE BATTLE TO END VOTING CORRUPTION IN TENNESSEE (AUTHOR INTERVIEW)
In August of 1946 the Democrat party was holding most of the state of Tennessee in an iron grip and had been for 10 years. Voters were being shot, beaten, and intimidated. Ballot box stuffing was the rule in many counties. Election integrity was non-existent. The corruption went all the way to Washington DC. The DOJ, the FBI, the Tennessee State Supreme Court- all turned a blind eye to the worst corruption ever witnessed in the south, ignoring desperate pleas for help looking into the problem and saying there was nothing wrong.
Many people were on the take. Local sheriffs and deputies aligned with the machine were driving expensive cars and in some cases pistol whipping and even shooting voters who objected to their methods at the polls.. It took a group of concerned and angry returning WWII vets to clean things up- and it took a fight against armed deputies who were holding innocent people hostage, along with the ballot boxes they had stuffed, in a county courthouse. When the bullets and finally dynamite rousted them out- the Democrat machine was finally broken and justice returned. to McMinn county.

BROTHERS DOWN THE STORY OF THE USS ARIZONA AT PEARL HARBOR
We interview author Walter Bornemann about his riveting book BROTHERS DOWN, which is the story of the heroes aboard the USS Arizona, which was dive-bombed and sunk by Japanese planes on December 7th, 1941. 63 of the Arizona's 1, 177 dead were brothers. At this point going into WWII, fathers, sons, and brothers serving together were not uncommon. Author Walter Borneman gives us a preview here of a story that needs to be shared and remembered- that America must always maintain its vigil and must be ready at all times to defend herself.

Love the way you give all sides of history. Not through today’s eyes But how the people in their time felt and believed And you really do a good job with a wonderful radio voice. This podcast and your others. Haven’t tried your Love stories yet but will listen soon. As I have said before. I hope some of your podcast will be heard by teachers and then their classes hear them. I love it when your young listeners hear them And are astonished to hear the truth about Americans history and real heroes. Not the revisionists history.
