Yes You Are Brave

This is a place to rediscover your brave. We are all brave, but most of us have forgotten that. We spend our time and effort hiding behind excuses and labels. Most that we give ourselves. We will cover internal topics/struggles as well as big events outside of our control. And how we pick ourselves up and learn to be brave again after life knocks us flat. (Pawnee learned to be brave but when cancer took her dad she felt lost it all.) Now I am setting off on a journey to be the brave person I have always wanted to be. Come with me as we take little steps to be brave and build the lives we want. Especially when things don‘t go according to plan.

    114. Redefine Happy; Discovering What Happy and Success Mean for You

    What makes you happy? What does success mean? ----more---- It is a simple answer to a pretty complex question. It means whatever we want it to mean. You as the master of your life get to decide what happiness looks like. You get to decide what success looks like. That is your right and privilege. Do not give it away. ----more---- You can be happy. You can be successful but only if you actually know what you are shooting for. And to do that you need to be brave enough to ask some questions. Questions about your opinions and beliefs around successful happy living. ----more---- Be bold. Be brave.     111. Brave Enough to Face Your Biggest Fear

    We all have fears. Big ones and small ones. Then there is the worst one. You know what I am talking about. The thing you fear the most. The one that causes the biggest dread. ----more---- It is a very natural reaction to just turn away from this fear. To ignore it and pretend it doesn't exist. It doesn't change it, or make it smaller. No instead it just grows while we are working to ignore it. ----more---- But what if we could face that fear, no matter how big, head-on? How might we change our lives if we could name and face and take the power back from our fear? ----more---- That is the topic of this episode. How we face and flip the script on our fears.     110. Brave Enough to Edit for a Better Result

    Are you feeling stuck? Today's episode is for me, so I can have some accountability. But there are lots of great things for you in it too.----more---- Let's face the fear of the edit together. I am writing a book and am at the point where it is time to edit. And edit a lot. But it is scary. We all reach places in our goals that are scary and we allow fear to keep us stuck.  If this is you no matter your goal I have some tips for you. First reach out for help, and accept the feedback that comes.  Realize there is no right or wrong answers, just answers Stop worrying It is ok to change your mind Set up some accountability for yourself including a plan, schedule and rewards.  Be in the scary.  Find balance and  Own the self-sabotage.  Life is amazing but it is hard. And to reach any of our goals we need to face the scary. But you are worth the effort. And in the end, there are no right tor wrong answers for your life, just answers. As long as you are doing things with intention and purpose you will make it. ----more---- Don't fear the Edit.     109. Brave Enough to Rest Instead of Quit

    We all run out of motivation at times. And it is usually only part way to our goals when we do. So what do we do when that happens? When the well of motivation runs dry?  ----more---- Today we talk about rest instead of quitting, and how we can keep from giving up when we get tired, first by planning for rest. Then we need to stop beating ourselves up when we struggle—and then be patient with ourselves as we learn to rest. Set realistic expectations for yourself so you are not so frustrated.  ----more---- You are completely capable of doing all the great things you have set for yourself. And you can make those goals and dreams come true. But you will get tired and you will want to quit. That is just part of being human. It is ok to not be motivated, and want to stop. But you can keep going even if you don’t want to.     Today we talk about peace and what it takes to make it. The word peacemaker can be daunting. It feels large and beyond our ability to achieve.     107. Brave Enough to Move Forward with the Decisions You Made

    It is that time of year when everyone is setting goals. And I am a big fan of goals. But I am an even bigger fan of action. Of doing whatever it takes to make those goals happen. ----more---- Because setting goals is the easy part. We decide what we want and what we need to do to get there. But there is something that holds us back. A big scary something that keeps us from starting. ----more---- This week we are unpacking that big scary something.
