I AM COME! Keep it 50 feet everyone!

I really wanted to like this podcast, because the hosts seem more open-minded and appear to have more depth than the hosts of similar podcasts. But there are serious flaws that show evidence of shoddy research. For example, in the episodes on Eckankar, the hosts state the the Eckankar establishment stole David Christopher Lane’s research during a burglary, leaving an ominous note that read “NO MORE”. This incident did occur, but it was a totally different sect (an offshoot, at best) called MSIA that Lane says did this. There’s plenty to criticize in Eckankar without accusing them of something simply because you weren’t careful when you skimmed an online article.

Some really fun topics, very entertaining hosts, and wild ride through every episode.

Not just an homage to stupidity, but also an entertaining exposition on the myriad confusions of which man is capable, while simultaneously retaining a reverence for phenomena that exist outside the scope of scientific materialism. Thank you, S, for sharing JWP’s FiaTES. While familiar with his, let’s say hijinx, I was unacquainted with his admirable talent and eloquence, and quite enjoyed the essay. Keep killin homie.
