12 - Pedagogy of the Oppressed, Session #2

the anthrotographer

On this episode of the anthrotographer we continue to breakdown the classic 1968 book Pedagogy of the Oppressed by Paulo Freire. We start halfway into chapter 1 and finish out the chapter in this episode. The next episode or two will focus on chapter 2. This will be a multiple episode series, made way better with voice over work by the lovely Nicole.

Freire's book dives deep into the power dynamics of the modern world, where we have an 'oppressor' class and an 'oppressed' class. He analyzes the psychology that breeds this relationship and the educational system that is bedrock of it, while presenting a more humanizing and revolutionary education model. Links:
