David Edgar Kimani is the Managing Director and Lead Consultant at Lantei Consulting Ltd where he is Consulting on FSMS systems, Internal audits, ISO audits, Food Processing and Post Harvest technologies, and all matters in the Food Science realm. He is also a Lecturer in Food Science and Technology at Ng'ong TVC (MoE).
In this episode, David introduces himself as a Kenyan Food scientist, talks about his early beginnings in the rural part of Kenya, getting a course he didn't understand and finally loving it. He also talks about his struggles with a job search and finally getting a job that had nothing to do with the course he did. He also talks about toxic work environments and quitting. He finally finds his purpose in teaching and loves it. He finally enrols on an MSc and he is graduating in a few months from the University of Nairobi still in food science and how he fell in love with research.
