Welcome to the New Mom Naturopath Podcast!

Exercise can significantly reduce anxiety in postpartum by leveraging the body's natural mechanisms for mood regulation. Physical activity stimulates the release of endorphins, which are natural mood lifters, and reduces stress hormones like adrenaline and cortisol, helping to alleviate anxiety. Regular exercise also boosts serotonin and dopamine levels, neurotransmitters critical for maintaining a positive mood. Engaging in various forms of exercise, such as aerobic activities, strength training, yoga, and outdoor pursuits, not only helps manage anxiety but also provides a sense of accomplishment and mental resilience. Incorporating enjoyable and consistent physical activity into daily life, whether through group classes, outdoor activities, or simply taking a walk, can be a powerful tool for new moms to manage postpartum anxiety effectively.
