#128 - Founder of Apiros Movement Training Austin Einhorn The Art of Something

    • Arts

On this week's episode, Harvey shares a conversation with the brilliant Austin Einhorn - Founder of Apiros Movement Training in Santa Cruz, California.  During his tenure of coaching movement, Austin has had the privilege to help athletes and organizations in every major professional sports league in America; including the PGA, Seattle Seahawks, Houston Rockets, US Men's National Volleyball Team, Stanford Men's Volleyball Team, Chinese Olympic Committee, and professional surfers.
Before finding his career in natural movement training, Austin had a decorated career playing volleyball at the University of California - Santa Cruz.  He garnered a 3-time All American status, helping the program finish 2nd and 3rd in the NCAA Tournament.
Austin's journey growing up as a naturally curious kid, as well as his passion for athletics led him to constantly internally challenge the current movement training paradigm.  He views the path of athletic mastery as an "encompassing blissful journey where we progressively improve our beliefs, movements, language, the optimization of our cellular and mitochondrial health, psychology and more."
As Harvey and Austin dive deeply into the nuance of movement, they discuss the misunderstanding of shoulder movement, the value in learning how babies move, the evolution of movement through in history and through a lifetime, and Austin's quest to minimize non-contact injury.  Check out where to find the key insights below!
