Queer interfaith minister and spiritual counselor, Erika Allison joins us to talking about coming out as Gay in the 90's in Texas, conversion therapy and identity harm. Reverend Erika is the author of the best-selling book ‘Gay the Pray Away’, A survivor of conversation therapy and an advocate for the LGBTQ+ community. She is passionate about helping teens find spiritual liberation, restore belonging and heal from identity harm. In this episode Nina and Erika get into, "why can't hugs be first", when do you get to say 'I'm over this, and share strategies to go on when things get dark. A great episode for those in the LGBTQ+ community, anyone who is struggling to accept or just plain struggling.
