So Money with Farnoosh Torabi

I was turned onto Farnoosh’s show from another prominent finance figure last year and it has been such a gem. It’s a great intersection of financial advice, self-development and discussion of social justice issues. I also LOVE that she is a parent, since that brings such an authentic angle to her advice and I’ve found that is a rarity in the feminist finance space. The episodes are digestible and thought provoking and I like that she doesn’t push a specific dogmatic finance mindset like FIRE.

I’ve been listening to Farnoosh since the summer of 2020 and find her content amongst personal finance experts to be the most diverse and helpful. The show has been a great source for me to develop the confidence and skills to manage and grow my money over the years, and I am very appreciative. Please continue to bring on guests who offer expertise in different areas (taxes, real estate) and help people to navigate their finances one step at a time!

I honestly can’t remember a time that I didn’t follow Farnoosh! I love her transparent, honest questions during interviews, the great variety of people on the podcasts and how she’s ALWAYS reporting on up to the minute topics (election, real estate, trad wives…) I can always search for a specific topic from the archives and can listen for *hours* (truly!) during our long 7 hour drives to see our college kiddos as it’s a chance to delve deep into multiple financial topics!

I just started tuning in to your podcast a couple of months ago, and I am hooked! I go through at least one episode each day during my commute and am grateful for the show’s robust archive, as I consider myself to be a total finance novice. In my mid-30s with three school-aged kids, I feel like I’ve missed the boat on several So Money moves, but with your interviews and Ask Farnoosh responses (my favorite), I’m starting to feel more confident… maybe even working toward a novice+ designation by now! My So Money-ist move to date: moving my emergency fund into a HYSA. Thank you!
