Love the interplay of the hosts and their senses of humor. Will miss it greatly when it wraps up - any chance you’ll reconsider? Or revive it at some point? Hoping so! I love this podcast that I have just discovered. It opens up so many inroads to learning about and loving modern Irish language in its cultural context. Funny, entertaining in every episode. I still recommend it to enjoy the great fun while it lasted.

I don’t have a drop of Irish ancestry, but I enjoy learning languages, and Irish looked interesting (and, let’s face it, downright bizarre at times). I looked for podcasts as Gaeilge, and this was one of the top suggestions, so I gave it a try. I normally listen only to history podcasts with a single presenter, so this format, with the “podcast dad” inviting a select group of regular guests, as well as one-off main guests, was different—and so informative and entertaining! I’m about 110 episodes in, and I’ve learned a lot about Irish and Irishness. It’s refreshing to hear highly articulate and educated people discuss the material with much more passion than you’d get in a university class. Oh, and they’re potty-mouthed at times, but just look at the name of the podcast. Highly recommended!

Good but Gearóidín’s swearing grates a bit. Adds nothing. And I’m from Laois.
