The 1000 Hours Outside Podcast
Childhood is finite at just shy of 9.5 million minutes. We only get one shot at it. One of the biggest decisions we make is how we will use that time. Research has confirmed time and time again that what children are naturally and unabashedly drawn to, unrestricted outside play, contributes extensively to every area of childhood development. The importance here cannot be understated. Every year we aim to match nature time with the average amount of American kid screen time (which is currently 1200 hours per year). Have a goal. Track your time outside. Take back childhood. Inspire others.

If you want to listen to something thought provoking, but also encouraging, about so many different things relating to family life, then you are in the right spot! Before I found this podcast I would get serious decision fatigue trying to find a host who I enjoyed listening to, but struck out so often. At 1000 hours outside I’m practically guaranteed a good listen, so thank you Ginny!
Moms need to listen to this one!

I started listening to her about getting outside but she has really branched out to so many great topics. This podcast is a must for any moms trying to do the right thing for their kids. Love this.
Turning into Conspiracy Theories

I used to enjoy this podcast but the episodes as of late have become more of right-wing conspiracy theories. Seed oil conspiracies, wellness cures, blah. I unsubscribed after the Mark Bauerlein episode. Listen to the older episodes, they are still on point to the outside movement.
Love this podcast!
