A very well written and produced series with a lot of valuable political history - and some bad memories for those of us who lived through some of it. Kudos to the whole team & especially to John Prideaux! I hope for a bonus episode after the 2024 election plays itself out.

If I were to meet someone who asked why the USA is the way it is, with all its contradictions and underlying themes, I would recommend they subscribe to The Economists Podcasts and give this exceptional show a listen. Then, if they were registered to vote in the USA on November 5 2024, I would ask them to look deep within and think of what they want America to (try to) be, not only for themselves but for those who follow.
