#20 | Sports Science with Los Angeles Ram's Tyler Williams

In this episode, Craig and Tyler discuss all things sports science. Sports science is an evolving field and Tyler has been at the forefront of it for the past 7 years. Tyler gives us some insight into the field and his interesting role with the team. This talk includes what defines sports science, testing for athletes, utilized technology, and how Tyler analyzes data points to bridge gaps of communication with the entire team to optimize athletic performance on the field.

Tyler is the manager of Sports Science for the NFL Los Angeles Rams and is going into his 13th season with the team, 5th season managing sports science. His role with the LA Rams is to utilize different technologies and data to enhance performance decision making and increase collaboration between all departments involved in player performance. Tyler attended Truman State University and got his Masters from the University of Penn. He is entering his 3rd year as Director of Internal Education for PFATS in the NFL and first year as a soft tissue subcommittee member for the NFL Musculoskeletal Committee.
