A former Public Defender herself, Leigh brings multiple decades of experience working with and writing about criminalized domestic violence survivors. On today’s episode, Hunter and Leigh primarily discuss her journey to abolition, decriminalization, and the stories/data that made her conclude that the carceral system is not the appropriate response for domestic violence.
