Hi Dr Puder, I’m Dr Htike from Myanmar. Thank you for being the teacher I didn’t know I needed. Your podcasts have been a beacon of wisdom and kindness, guiding me through the complexities of psychiatry and life itself. For three years, I’ve felt like your student, learning not only the art of healing but also the importance of compassion and humanity. Your words have touched my life profoundly, shaping the care I give to my patients and inspiring me to be better every day. I carry your teachings in my heart, always. Thank you, from the depths of my soul, for everything.
Fulfilling!

So grateful to have found this podcast! As a psych undergrad, I am always looking for as much knowledge as I can get. David and his guests bring us important insights to real world issues and I always feel more empowered and motivated after an episode.
Very limited & privileged view.

There are layers upon layers in which this podcast doesn’t even consider on each topic. Specific drugs and psychedelics for each diagnosis, and their ability or inability to/unwillingness to discuss their issues & symptoms in therapy. Why not discuss methods on how to get a patient to discuss difficult issues. His holier than thou parenting tactics are so pompous. This f*ing guy is such a professional that he doesn’t even admit to his blinders. So full of himself.

I love these conversations, I’m not a dr, and I’ve been afraid of getting therapy even though I want to. I’ve had lousy therapist in the past, as well as one really good one when I was in college. I live in a rural area, so in person is limited. But these talks have helped me trust therapists and understand that they are on my side in general. I will try again. These conversations are in just enough depth for me to stretch to understand and appreciate the complexity from the other side. I’m going to contact the show about online therapists or a local referral. Thanks for caring about the human beings you serve. Your and your guests conscientiousness gives me hope!
