    Judy Morgan is here to discuss her new book, Yin & Yang 2.0 Nutrition for Dogs: Maximizing Health with Whole Foods, not Drugs. The book has recipes for different health conditions in dogs - arthritis, obesity, heart disease, kidney disease, liver disease, allergies, skin disease, lung disease. Food can be used as medicine in place of pharmaceutical prescriptions and veterinary prescription diets that are made with horrible ingredients. In her new book, Judy Morgan uses food as medicine based on Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine Food Therapy - using the "energetics" and properties of food to solve different problems in the body. For instance, heat is produced with infection and inflammation - food can be used to "cool" the problem. Phlegm (mucous, snot, thick discharges) can be dissolved with food. Damp (fluid accumulation in the chest, abdomen, gastrointestinal tract, or limbs) can be drained using specific foods. All this is explained in the book. Every being has a "Constitution" or "Personality" - there are five Chinese element personalities: Fire, Earth, Water, Metal, and Wood. There is a personality quiz in the book to determine your dog's personality. This helps predicts which organ systems may get out of balance under certain conditions.
