Dynasty of Dads

Do you feel pressure to live up to "expectations" as a father? We are on a mission to redefine the modern-day dad. For us, there are two stereotypes of dads; the emotionless provider that is never home, or what we call the "incompetent sitcom dad." That needs to change. Don't let stereotypes define who YOU are as a father and husband. This fun, down-to-earth podcast explores the adventures, and challenges, of being a parent. We do not claim to be an expert...We want this podcast to be an inspiration for us to become the best moms and dads we can be together.

    28. "Make Me Proud..." more harm than good?

Have you ever used the phrase “Make me Proud?” In this episode, we shed some light on how and why saying “Make me Proud” could be more hurtful than it is encouraging. How should we support our kids and show them we are always proud of them, it is not something they have to "earn" from us. Has anyone ever told you to make them proud? Share with us when someone has told you this and how it affected you as you walked out on “that stage” by emailing us at DynastyofDads@gmail.com or text 845.320.3023. Don’t forget, Let’s be better dads together!   Patreon: patreon.com/dynastyofdads YouTube (live Wednesdays, 8:30 ET): youtube.com/user/brianapfel About the Dynasty of Dads Podcast: We are excited to bring to you a fun, down-to-earth podcast about the adventures, and challenges, of being a dad.
