The Prosecutors
A true crime podcast with a different point of view. Every week, Alice and Brett bring their unique perspective as prosecutors to the most famous cold case mysteries of all time. Murder, mayhem, disappearances, you name it. If it's true crime, they're on the case. Custom case art by Hannah Hill. https://instagram.com/serious_moonlite?igshid=lhy8ijowoc9p

Do I like the October episodes? Nay! I love the October episodes!! We do exist. The Prosecutors is my favorite true crime podcast all year long and even more so in October. Shout out to Legal Briefs as well! It’s refreshing to hear rational discussion and a space created that encourages respectful conversation in the true crime genre. Thank you both for this gift you give us listeners.

This is the best podcast! I find Brett and Alice fascinating and could listen to them all day. I have been listening for over a year now and joined their Patreon. Cannot recommend The Prosecutors enough! Ok I updated my review because I want to add my favorite question: If you could turn into any animal, Prof. McGonagall style, and turn back into a human at will, what animal would you choose?
Very biased but still worth a listen

I’ll start by saying I work in public defense so I am likely not your average listener. The podcast is worth a listen, but it is not even close to unbiased. I appreciate that they always direct people to read trial transcripts, etc. however, the average listener is not going to do that. Their legal and their evidentiary analyses often lack context and are highly misleading. They can laugh off misplaced or destroyed evidence no matter how many times it occurs in one case, pretend that police only rarely plant evidence, suggest that a poor investigation does not degrade the prosecution’s story, all in one breath. That being said, they do get things right and clearly have good intentions, but they need to stop claiming they’re unbiased. One question I have for Brett and Alice (not 5 stars so probably won’t get answered but worth a try!): Do you really believe in beyond a reasonable doubt as the burden of proof? It seems that you often settle for “probably” or “potentially”.
