As you have noticed, due to changes in our academic and professional lives, the frequency of our podcast has not been the same over the last couple of months. Because of this and after some deliberation we've made the decision to go on an indefinite hiatus starting today. This is not a sad situation, but a celebration of what we were to all of you, and to ourselves, for the last 6 years.
Thank you for your engagement, for sharing, telling your friends and colleagues about us, tagging us in your stories, for donating and for writing to us.
If you chose to support us through Patreon you don't have to do anything.
Those who have set up payments via their bank or Paypal, please take action and stop your monthly donations.
Lastly, to those of you who would like a BB tote bag, please write to us (at berlinbriefing@gmail.com) with your mailing address and we will send you one.
It's been a pleasure.
As always,
thanks for listening!
Abby and Albert

Thank you so much - and fare well
While it’s true that I thought Abby’s voice might have been synthesized the very first time I listened, I quickly realized she was human, and came to appreciate Berlin Briefing as a short daily dose of local news to start my morning. I found you through Common Ground, a remnant of KCRW Berlin and former NPR Berlin, all three now gone or indefinitely suspended. I’ll be returning to the US at the end of this month after a second stint of three years in Berlin, so this is just one of many things I’ve been saying farewell to these weeks, something one does all the time, of course, but much more right now.
I wish you all the best and you should have no regrets for doing something that gave you purpose and joy, but letting it go when that was no longer true. A heartfelt thank you is well deserved, and I wish you all the best.
@alex
Fantastic wrap-ups
Thanks for your concise breakdown of the latest and greatest. I love that you go into the nitty-gritty, e.g. regarding new Covid regulations. Still, you keep it short and to the point. The only thing I find myself cracking up about is the pronunciation of some German words.
Strange delivery and clunky writing
Appreciate the intention, but distractingly amateurish.
