  1. EPISODIO 8

#8 Ft. Mike Hengen WHL Alumni

Brady Leavold is joined by WHL alumni Michael Hengen. Hengen, like Leavold, grew up in British Columbia's Lower Mainland. Hengen and Leavold were arch rivals throughout minor hockey. Brady actually hated no one more than Hengen. Hengen played his minor hockey in Burnaby in one of Canada's most successful and historic mionor hockey programs, Burnaby Winter Club. BWC is a privaate club that draws in the cream of the crop from the lower main land and were always the top team year in and year out. Leavold reveals how he was scared of Hengen during the U-16 tryouts in 2002, leading him to quit after the first ice session. The following year Leavold decided nothing would stop him from making the U-17 team. Both Leavold and Hengen made Team Fraser Valley and BC's top 40 following the BC Cup. After being teammates for the first time they instantly became friends and found themselves playing together in the WHL for the Swift Current Broncos. Hengen was there when Leavold packed up and quit at 18 years old, a mistake that still haunts Leavold till this day. Listen in as they reminisce on there time playing together in Swift Current and what Hengen did after hockey including helping the Penticton Vees to a national championship when they won the RBC Cup in 2012 with Hengen behind the bench as an assistant coach.   Visit H2H Website to enter to win free Team Issued Ltd.
