Dem Senate Hopeful Wounds Reporter, Kamala's Laughable Biden Defense, Kamala's 'Weakness'

Join Jim and Greg as they return to their usual format with three crazy martinis! Today, they discuss the Missouri Democratic U.S. Senate candidate injuring a reporter, Kamala Harris’s increasingly implausible defense of Biden’s cognitive abilities, and her baffling response when asked about her greatest weakness. First, they are stunned by reports that Missouri Senate candidate Lucas Kunce injured a reporter at a gun event. Kunce, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran running against GOP Sen. Josh Hawley, accidentally wounded the reporter with a bullet fragment after firing an AR-15 at close range. Jim points out that if a Republican candidate injured someone while firing an AR-15, it would be national news for days. Next, they wince as Kamala Harris continues to defend President Biden’s cognitive state. Harris insists that she has seen no signs of Biden being incapable of serving, despite growing concerns about his mental fitness. Jim and Greg also discuss Harris’s unconvincing reaction to suggestions that Biden’s poor debate performance might have ended his re-election campaign. Next, they cringe as Harris continues to defend President Biden’s cognitive state and saysshe has not noticed anything to suggest he's incapable of serving. Jim and Greg also discuss Harris’s feigned shock that Biden’s poor debate performance led to the end of his re-election campaign. Finally, they react to Harris’s weak answer during CNN’s town hall when asked about her greatest weakness. Instead of a genuine response, Harris claimed her biggest weakness is surrounding herself with smart people, and you can almost hear the eyerolls from Jim and Greg. Plus, Greg has another "Doris" update. Three Martinis with Michele Tafoya: Her Life in Sports, Politics in Sports, Trans Athletes, Gov. Walz

Join Jim and Greg as they welcome longtime, Emmy-winning sports reporter Michele Tafoya. Best known for her work as a sideline reporter on Monday Night Football and Sunday Night Football, Tafoya is now a political commentator and host of the Michele Tafoya Podcast. In this episode, they dive into her most memorable sports moments, her views on the intersection of politics and sports, the controversy surrounding transgender athletes, her experience living in Minnesota under Gov. Tim Walz and more. First, the conversation kicks off with Tafoya’s rise in sports journalism. From her major career breakthroughs to the challenges of interviewing uncooperative coaches and players, Tafoya shares insights from her time as a sports reporter. She recounts some of her favorite on-field moments, the sports personalities who were easy and tough to work with, and a hilarious story from an NCAA tournament game she was covering in the 1990s. Next, they focus on politics, including how Tafoya evolved from a left-leaning graduate of Cal Berkeley to a conservative. She also touches on the impact of politics getting injected into sports coverage and how some members of the sports media see themselves as political and cultural activists. Finally, Tafoya speaks out against the participation of biological men in women's sports. She shares her thoughts on how this is fundamentally unfair and is affecting female athletes and the integrity of women’s sports. In addition, Tafoya opens up about living under the leadership of Gov. Tim Walz in Minnesota and her perspective on the political expectation that she should support Kamala Harris simply because she is a woman. Israel Spills Hezbollah Secret, Cracks in Kamala's Blue Wall, Abortion Surges as Key Issue

Join Jim and Greg as they offer two good martinis and a lousy one. Today, they discuss Israel's creative, non-violent strategy against Hezbollah, Kamala Harris’s team fretting over key "blue wall" states, and how abortion has re-emerged as a leading issue in the 2024 campaign. First, they break down Israel’s clever tactic of outing a Hezbollah bunker hidden beneath a hospital in Beirut. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) publicly announced the location and stated there was a lot of money and gold stored there. Jim and Greg explain why this is a brilliant move that puts Hezbollah in a tough position. They also have fun speculating on which Hollywood movie this situation resembles most. Next, Jim highlights his “Morning Jolt” report about the Harris campaign’s concerns in battleground states. They reveal that Michigan, North Carolina, and Wisconsin are causing serious worry for Democrats. Greg and Jim explain why Harris is struggling in Michigan and urge conservatives to focus on voter turnout, rather than being distracted by political betting odds. Finally, they react to Newsweek’s report that abortion is now the second most important issue for voters. While the economy still holds the top spot and immigration is close behind, abortion’s prominence is seen as a political advantage for Democrats. Meanwhile, Republicans continue to fumble for a cohesive message. Jim and Greg also share their thoughts on some of the most absurd arguments Democrats are making against Trump. GOP Governors Top Fiscal Ratings, Israeli Strike Plans Leaked Again, Social Security & Walz’s Mom

Join Jim and Greg as they discuss how Republican governors do much better than Democrats on fiscal policy, the infuriating leak of Israel's plans to strike Iran, and why Tim Walz is so reluctant to help his own mother. First, they analyze the CATO Institute report card, which grades 48 U.S. governors on controlling spending and improving tax policies. Notably, all six governors receiving an 'A' were Republicans, while all six earning an 'F' were Democrats, including Tim Walz. Jim and Greg explore the reasons behind these results and highlight a few surprising names on the list. Next, frustration mounts over the leak of classified Israeli military plans to strike Iran. This follows previous instances of U.S. officials being caught off guard by successful Israeli strikes in the Middle East. Jim explains how several key figures in the Biden administration are far too cozy with Iran and wonders why allies would share sensitive material with us in the future. Finally, they address Tim Walz’s recent comments in North Carolina about his mother’s reliance on Social Security for basic needs. Jim and Greg explain how Social Security is intended as a supplement to your retirement plan and wonder why Walz allows his mother to live in such a precarious financial situation. This is at least the second time Walz has referred to leaving his elderly mom to fend for herself. He also made her go home and live by herself after heart surgery during COVID because he feared negative headlines if he brought her to his home. Dems' Pennsylvania Panic, Big Tech Embraces Nuclear, Kamala & the Middle East

Join Jim and Greg for a special edition of the 3 Martini Lunch as they serve up two good martinis, a crazy one, and some fun to celebrate the podcast’s 14-year anniversary. Today, they discuss Democrats’ growing fears in Pennsylvania, Big Tech’s newfound support for nuclear energy, and Kamala Harris’s mixed messaging after the killing of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar. First, they dive into a Politico story about Democratic unease in Pennsylvania. Longtime Democratic operatives are anonymously criticizing the Harris campaign’s efforts in the state. They also note how Sen. Bob Casey is airing ads highlighting the rare occasions he sided with Trump or against Biden. Greg also shares the increasingly desperate fundraising emails landing in his inbox as the election looms. Next, they applaud Big Tech’s shift toward nuclear power, with companies like Google, Microsoft, and Amazon aggressively pursuing it to power data centers and other projects. Meanwhile, Jim slams the left for its irrational opposition to nuclear energy, which has stalled progress since the 1979 Three Mile Island incident and set back the nation’s energy potential for decades. Then, they credit Kamala Harris for saying a lot of the right things in her response to the death of Hamas military leader Yahya Sinwar, but they cringe big time at her insistence that this should lead to the creation of a Palestinian state. Jim says the message that would send to the world would be devastating. Finally, Jim and Greg celebrate 14 years of the 3 Martini Lunch podcast with a recap of Jim's best quips from recent months and a flashback to their all-time favorite moment on the podcast. Israel Permanently Sidelines Sinwar, Georgia Shatters Voting Records, Kamala vs. Bret Baier

Join Jim and Greg as they serve up three good martinis. In today’s episode, they discuss the death of Hamas military leader Yahya Sinwar, Georgia's record-breaking early voting turnout, and Kamala Harris's tough interview on Fox News. First, they discuss the likely death of Hamas military leader Yahya Sinwar during an IDF operation in Gaza, which was later confirmed. Sinwar, the mastermind behind the October 7th terrorist attacks on Israel last year, had a notorious history of hatred against Israel and exploitation of people in Gaza. While Israel wasn't specifically targeting Sinwar, in this operation Jim and Greg highlight Israel's effectiveness in eliminating top terrorist leaders in recent months. Next, they explore Georgia's record-shattering early voting numbers, smashing Democratic narratives from 2021 that compared GOP-led voting reforms to Jim Crow-era laws. The left’s predictions of voter suppression have been thoroughly debunked by the sheer volume of early votes cast. Greg also points out that Republicans are actively encouraging early voting, reducing reliance on Election Day turnout. Finally, they analyze Kamala Harris's interview on Fox News with Bret Baier. Jim gives Harris some credit for appearing on the show, while praising Baier for pressing her with tough questions on the border crisis and Biden’s cognitive health. However, they ultimately conclude that Harris struggled to directly address these issues or effectively defend her record. Serving Up Courage in Women's Sports, Ugly Updated Crime Stats, Kamala Going Rogan?

Hillsdale College Radio General Manager and Radio Free Hillsdale Hour Host Scot Bertram is in for Jim. Today, Scot and I discuss more female college athletes refusing to complete against males, violent crime statistics getting revised upward significantly, and Kamala staffers pushing her to go on Joe Rogan's podcast. First, they applaud the University of Nevada women’s volleyball team for refusing to compete against San Jose State due to safety concerns over a biological male on the opposing team. Nevada becomes the fifth Mountain West Conference team to boycott San Jose State. Nevada Gov. Joe Lombardo supports the players, while the university issues a much less clear response. Next, we break down the revised 2022 violent crime statistics, which reveal many more violent crimes than originally reported. Scot now questions the accuracy of 2023 crime data, and both express frustration with weak prosecutors who continue to release violent criminals, leading to repeat offenses. Lastly, they discuss the amusing reports of Kamala Harris’ staff pushing her to appear on Joe Rogan’s podcast. Scot explains why this interview would be a disaster for Harris, and they reflect on how the left very recently demonized Rogan as a danger to society. Clinton Confirms Border Failure, DOJ Sues Virginia for Updating Voter Rolls, CBS Steps in It Again

Join Jim and Greg as they discuss Bill Clinton admitting the Biden-Harris border failures, the Justice Department suing Virginia for updating its voter rolls, and CBS caught distorting reponses again - this time from a prominent Republican. First, Jim and Greg discuss how Bill Clinton hurt the Harris campaign by referencing the brutal murder of Laken Riley, who was killed by an illegal migrant. Clinton stated that "if they'd all been properly vetted, this probably wouldn't have happened," directly challenging the left's defense of Biden-Harris immigration policies. His comments also undermined two other longstanding narratives on the left. Nonetheless, Jim also notes that Clinton proved again that he has an ability to address subjects in a way that most modern day Democrats do not. Next, they focus on the Justice Department's lawsuit against Virginia for removing more than 6,300 ineligible voters from its rolls. These names include deceased individuals, people who have moved, and non-citizens, who should not be voting in U.S. elections. Jim and Greg question why the federal government would oppose efforts to maintain voter integrity and ensure only eligible citizens are on the rolls. Finally, they shift to media bias, exposing CBS’s distortion of House Speaker Mike Johnson’s interview on "Face the Nation." Johnson's team recorded the interview, revealing that critical comments criticizing Democratic policies were heavily edited or omitted. Jim also explains how many in the media justify abandoning all pretense of objectivity in elections now.
