007 - 3 Strategies to Help Manage Your Invisible To-Do List and Mental Load

The Calm Mom - Burnout, Anxiety, Nervous System, Mindset, Self-Care, Parenting, Work-Life Balance

It’s always there and it’s never-ending, just looming over your shoulder and somehow so heavy.  I’m talking about that invisible list you manage - the mental load you carry each day.  This week, we’re going to explore the weight of all the things you do and all the information you hold to manage your family and keep things running. It’s the stuff that’s often unnoticed, but vital to the day-to-day operation of your family.

This episode will help you take an inventory of the items on your invisible list.  The first step to growing and changing is awareness, so we’ve got to take count of all the things we’re responsible for.  I’ll then give you language and a strategy for having a conversation with your partner and support system about your invisible list that invites collaboration and participation. And finally, I’ll share some helpful tips on where to simplify, systemize, and surrender so you can lighten your mental load.
