Historically Really Good Friends

Jared and Rachel present stories in an entertaining way that makes me want to find out more about their subjects. I am a little behind on episodes, but I am now Googling to learn more about Sylvester! I am so glad they are bringing these important stories to the pod-world. I also enjoy their easy rapport—you can tell they are “really good friends.”😉

I like this podcast and think that they do their research well. The female host is great, and has a good voice and contributes well to the discussion while also recognizing her privilege, i really wish one of the hosts was a queer woman, trans person, or nonbinary person. These groups are consistently left out of queer spaces and historical narrative, and while allies are great i wish that this podcast was more inclusive of the whole community.

I love to learn about these queer people in history. Quite embarrassed by my ignorance. I’m shocked every week about something new. I also love to hear 2 really good friends enjoy this so much. Excellent work. The research must be so time consuming.

Jared and Rachel’s rapport is obvious in this podcast and it really draws you in! Their stories every week always pique my interest and make me want to keep researching so I can learn more about these people and aspects of queer culture that I either didn’t know about or have a very basic knowledge of. As a queer lady, I am so happy to have this podcast to add to my weekly rotation and can’t wait to hear what else Jared and Rachel introduce me to!!
