Joe Bunting's Character Test

The magnificent balance of entertainment and inspiration. Alice and Joe do a wonderful job of looking at characters and people-including themselves- and helping us find new ways to challenge and improve our story! Always leaves me wanting to be better and hear more! Hoping more episodes come out soon! Also, think it would be genius to put Alice to the test! She is a great host and fair judge of characters, would love to get to know her and her story better and put her to the character test!

Each episode Joe raises a character up from a story to invite us to consider the ways someone moves through mundane, heroic or tragic situations. Following that exercise Joe welcomes a guest to speak openly about life, work and character development. This long-form podcast has helped me think more deeply about how to understand others and be an encouragement as circumstances call for being present, being a challenger or some totally unexpected but important response. While the tone and pacing of these podcasts is peaceful and contemplative, each one inspires me to think more deeply. That is why I keep listening.

I just listened to episode 14 with Nate Staniforth. Joe, the conversation was magical! You have a talent for interviewing and I like how prepared you are for each interview. As a first time writer, this podcast is so helpful as an inspiration. Both you and Alice seem so committed to discovering wonder and sharing it with us.
