51: There's Always Something Better Coming with Jackie VanderLinden The Soul FULL Podcast with Megan Harmony

    • Religion & Spirituality

Jackie VanderLinden is a Holistic Coach, Yoga Teacher and Speaker who has nearly 20 years in the health and wellness industry. Jackie is known to be full of heart and incredibly passionate about supporting women in getting more out of their lives with less work. She truly believes that by simplifying a few key areas, all women can be both healthy and happy;  living big, beautiful lives with more ease.

You’re going to want to hear this one as we share about;

The joys of country living and farm life. (We live within half an hour of each other.)

We’re all still figuring out what we want to be when we grow up but I never want to stop growing. Looking back we thought our 18 year old self knew so much and then our 30 year old self knew so much and now we just want to become the best version of myself.

“If you want to make God laugh, tell him you’ve got plans.”

Life isn’t going to always be as planned so have to be fluid and focus on living for today.

At this time in our world we need to give ourselves grace and go with the flow as much as we possibly can. It can change day to day what grace looks like for you right now. Trust your instincts and intuition for what you need.

Declutter your social feeds. We are on them so much more these days and it’s influencing us more than we may even realize or want to admit.

Jackie shares about being at a job she hated that brought her to tears often, moving to the country and feeling very heavy. She got into the art of tidying up and things looked really good but she felt empty and had a lot of emotions coming to the surface.

Grief is never done. Her grief over her sisters suicide when she was young came forward.

Jackie realized you don’t graduate from mental health. She was slipping back into depression and was falling apart inside. This was a dark time that took her off guard and was a slow creeping in of the mental health darkness. It was hard because no one knew about it.

“There’s always something better coming.”

We can choose to make their life count for something through the expression of our own.

“Love your dark parts too”

We have to look for the good wherever we can.

We can have both light and the darkness at the same time.

“If we embrace our darkness we can experience joy while we travel through the darkness.”

“Sit in the darkness, knowing that we are a being of light the whole experience shifts.”
