Rooshy Roy is the Co-Founder & CEO of AAVRANI. As a first generation Indian-American, she would often make her own skincare with her mom, who showed Rooshy how to harness the power of raw ingredients—like turmeric and sweet almond oil—to maintain beautiful skin. As an adult searching for an easier way to access those Indian rituals, Rooshy was inspired to create her own brand. AAVRANI skincare unites India’s ancient, all-natural approach with clinically-proven, modern-day elegance. Before launching the company in 2020, she worked in Finance at Goldman Sachs and Warburg Pincus. Rooshy went to Indiana University and graduated with an MBA from Wharton in 2019. She is a 2020 Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree in the Retail & E-Commerce category.

Like the dualities that exist within us, the AAVRANI brand unites two worlds: India’s ancient, handcrafted approach and clinically-proven, modern-day elegance. Real beauty starts with celebrating our whole selves, unleashing power and radiance from within. In Hindi, “rani” means “queen”, which inspired our name, AAVRANI. Our mission is to encourage us all to feel proud & confident in our skin and in ourselves—not despite our differences, but because of them.
