Making Sense with Sam Harris
Join neuroscientist, philosopher, and five-time New York Times best-selling author Sam Harris as he explores important and controversial questions about the mind, society, current events, moral philosophy, religion, and rationality—with an overarching focus on how a growing understanding of ourselves and the world is changing our sense of how we should live. Sam is also the creator of the Waking Up app. Combining Sam’s decades of mindfulness practice, profound wisdom from varied philosophical and contemplative traditions, and a commitment to a secular, scientific worldview, Waking Up is a resource for anyone interested in living a more examined, fulfilling life—and a new operating system for the mind. Waking Up offers free subscriptions to anyone who can’t afford one, and donates a minimum of 10% of profits to the most effective charities around the world. To learn more, please go to WakingUp.com. Rational and reasonable

Reasonable and well-thought out arguments and points. Even when I disagree, I feel compelled to consider his opinions because of his approach. His voice is disarming and very easy to listen to as well.
A thoughtful voice in the devised world

Sam Harris’s Making Sense podcast is a rare and invaluable platform for thoughtful, objective discussion in today’s polarized world. Having read his books and listened to countless episodes, I can confidently say that Sam approaches complex topics with intellectual honesty and a sincere desire to understand our chaotic culture as clearly as possible. His commitment to being an impartial observer naturally frustrates those on both the political left and right—a clear sign that he’s challenging tribal thinking rather than catering to it. I don’t agree with Sam on everything, and that’s exactly why his podcast is worth listening to. His conversations invite genuine dialogue rather than the blind, thoughtless reactions that many of his critics seem to prefer. The negative, often cranky comments from detractors only reinforce how important voices like Sam’s are. His commentary forces people to confront uncomfortable truths, and instead of engaging with his ideas, some would rather silence him. That’s precisely why Making Sense is so essential today.
The difference between intelligence and wisdom.

Sam Harris is undoubtably an extraordinary brilliant person, but he is so blinded by what he doesn’t want to see he can talk himself out of the truth, sitting right in front of him, which is so bizarre.
Pretty good
