The Psalter with Holy Cross Monastery
The Psalter holds s vital place in the prayer of the church and in Orthodox Christian Teaching and Bible-study. The Psalter in audio format is provided here to support the hearing and praying of the Psalms. The text of the Psalms was translated by Holy Transfiguration Monastery in Brookline, MA. The Psalms are read by a monk of the monastery in a manner of simple intonation, common to Orthodox Christian liturgical service. The arrangement of the Psalms into twenty sections also follows the liturgical order of the Orthodox Church. Learn more about the life of the monastery at www.holycross.org.

Over the years I’ve purchased two copies of these Psalter CDs that I eventually shared with friends. I no longer have a CD player, so imagine my absolute delight to find the Psalter recordings here. This is my favorite translation and my favorite recording of the Psalms. What a GIFT! Thank you!
