Are the Bravos sponsored by Swiffer? Because they got the sweep! *rim shot* Before plunging into Braves-Nationals waters, DOB and EOF react to the Angles releasing Albert Pujols. What's next for the 41-year-old future Hall of Famer? Where does he rank among Eric's Pantheon of hitters? And the guys describe watching Pujols develop and play through the league. Well, William Contreras can hit...the 23-year-old catcher's first start with Travis d'Arnaud on the IL inspired optimism in Braves fans. Do early returns from Jeff Mathis, Contreras and Alex Jackson spark confidence in the guys? The guys applaud Drew Smyly for his best outing so far this season. The duo discuss Fransisco Lindor, a target for repeated aspersions in New York for his frigid hitting, and the media/social media-players dynamic. Marcell Ozuna had a decorated series, which is, obviously, a boon to Atlanta. What's with Freddie's funk? Huascar Ynoa can RAKE.

David and Eric sing their optimistic notes about Atlanta's future before diving into the slew of bad news. With Travis d'Arnaud sidelined for the foreseeable future, who will step up at catcher? Will Alex Jackson, despite his offensive shortcomings, be used more regularly? Can William Contreras contribute as an everyday starter? Drew Smyly beleaguered start continues. The Braves have the highest team ERA in baseball?! HOW? Atlanta continues to lack production with runners in scoring position. Plus, are there red flags in Freddie's contract extension talks?

Enjoy the "new" intro...until Thursday, folks!

Braves' roster moves, Ozuna's rocket, Riley's rolling & the sage worked?!

Braves' roster moves, Ozuna's rocket, Riley's rolling & the sage worked?!

In a loaded edition of 755, DOB and EOF unpack Atlanta's latest roster moves. Will Sean Newcomb and Edgar Santana's roster additions help fortify the back of the pen? Why was Bryce Wilson optioned? Huascar Ynoa has been incredible in four of his five starts this year. David and Eric analyze his game and discuss how he can contribute in the future. The Braves' bench was an afterthought entering 2021, now it's one of the team's greatest strengths. The duo chitchat about New York media and fan pressure on Francisco Lindor, who is swinging a frigid bat. Is this unfair treatment of Lindor so early into his Mets career? The guys also kibbitz about New York back-page subjects, whose names were dragged through the mud. Ozuna unloaded on the ball his last home run. Also, the offense is beginning to click in no small part to Dansby Swanson's sage ritual; Charlie Morton and co. are going to be dangerous, and Austin Riley is feeling it as of late.

David and Eric burn sage prior to recording to purify the AT&T curse that plagues DOB's internet connection while recording and live streaming...it works sometimes. Burning sage remedied Dansby Swanson and Atlanta's sickly bats in their series-opening win against Chicago. Eric details superstitions he and other players believed when he was in the Majors. The duo, begrudgingly, recap the Braves' catastrophic weekend series in Arizona that featured Madison Bumgarner tossing a seven-inning no-hitter. Should we even consider that a no-hitter? A Brave that is far from no-hitter-throwing shape is Drew Smyly. What's ailing "Big Shooter" and how can he escape this rut? DOB and EOF discuss Atlanta weathering Chicago's comeback bid as well as Charlie Morton's trend.

DOB, EOF, and the Braves are fresh off a series against the Yankees. Before steering through developments from the series split, the guys discuss the latest Ronald Acuna injury news. Also, what's new with Drew Smyly, Chris Martin and Mike Soroka? It's clear Atlanta's offense isn't imitating last season's scalding hot start but is the offense even passable? Aside from Acuna, who is producing and what will it take to say farewell to the schneid? Ehire Adrianza contributions, though unglamorous, have helped Atlanta stay afloat. A more glitzy performance came by way of Ian Anderson in the Yankees series finale. David and Eric also examine the bullpen's atrophy due to injury, and a look ahead to the weekend series versus Arizona.

What a weekend for Guillermo Heredia! DOB and EOF chitchat about the 30-year-old outfielder's contributions in Atlanta's series win over Chicago. The guys also discuss Ronald Acuna Jr.'s injury and his sliding technique. David and Eric also examine teams who are exceeding and falling short of expectations to begin the year. What's up with the Yankees? Do the Mets own New York? Philadelphia and Cincinnati have flashed promising signs. David points out former Braves front office member Perry Minasian's success in Los Angeles with the Angels, as well. After 12 years out of the big leagues, Sean Kazmar Jr. not only made his return to the show but also made history.
