I left New Mexico 5 years ago and have missed it fiercely ever since. Don’t know that I’ll ever stop. I LOVE this show, especially the episodes on ghost towns, springs, little known places. Mikes essays some times make me cry, tears of longing & joy that others love these places as much as I. It’s brilliant.
Really?

I was so excited about a podcast that was going to let me see my new city through the eyes of those who’ve lived there a long while. Instead, it’s full of long-winded stories that include the experiences of young people who have lived there for a few years.

As an almost lifelong, nostalgic resident of ABQ this podcast is fantastic. We have such a rich history and Ty, Mike and Nora have such great storytelling methods to paint wonderful pictures of life here. As my dear grandpa who was a transplant here used to say “Albuquerque used to be such a nice place.” And he said this in the 90s!!!! This podcast will remind you what is great about our city and state and make you proud to be New Mexican despite today’s challenges. Thank you for this treasure!
