8. Do It Yourself - Dobbins Peace Garden

A group teens from Dobbins High School in Philadelphia set out to make a documentary investigating the root causes under the record levels of violence in the city. The story became a document of their own action-research journey through meeting with community leaders, developing an interest in urban farming, and starting a community garden at school along with experiments in harvesting food and developing natural cosmetics.
