8. Gynaecology's Dark History (w/ Charly Evon Simpson‪)‬ Science Sucks

Charly Evon Simpson (she/her) is a playwright, teacher, performer in New York City. Her play, Behind the Sheet, recently had its world premiere at Ensemble Studio Theatre. Her play shared the dark history of gynaecology, in which a white doctor experimented on black enslaved women. It tells the story of a great medical breakthrough through the eyes of a community of enslaved black women who were involuntarily involved the discovery. I'm thrilled to bring you my interview with Charly.
