Still digging the storytelling
As a show that is mostly about today’s popular culture through the eyes of someone raised in 1980s Los Angeles, arguably the greatest decade pop culture ever got, this show endlessly resonates with me. Jeff Tucker, had he gone to my high school in the San Fernando Valley instead, would have been one of my buddies as we sat around the lunch table and talked about the latest upcoming films in Cine-fantastic, Phantasmagoria or CineFex magazines. He would’ve been one of my pals who went to Spencers at the mall or to watch the latest movie at the Cineplex or to get Orange Julius‘s. He would have been one of the guys I rode bikes down to Winchell’s Donuts and Family Fun Arcade every summer afternoon too. His perspective is so in alignment with mine that it’s almost scary to listen to how good the show is. It speaks to me personally. Well done Jeff… Keep it up!
