Insightful and funny. I stopped playing golf in high school because it was so stuffy, and this podcast was the catalyst for me playing again. Great cast of personalities on the show. Shout out KVV and the narrative podcasts.

Low low low level of discussion that hits the sweet spot for the totally uninformed.

I used to enjoy No Laying Up, but I just can’t listen anymore because of Tron Carter. The guy makes everything about himself, and it’s exhausting. What started as a great golf podcast with insightful takes has turned into a sideshow where TC dominates the conversation with his opinions, tangents, and forced humor. He reminds me of Frankie from Barstool—constantly trying to insert himself into the story instead of letting the content breathe. It’s frustrating because the rest of the crew brings solid analysis and good discussions, but TC derails it too often. I’m out.

You guys have been incredible for years from your criticisms making real change in coverage to the to the greatest comradery I have found on the airwaves. The reason I’m leaving this review (a thing I have done only one other time to my memory) is because of, on top of all that, KVV’s narrative pods have been brilliant! They stand out and above almost everything else I listen to. I put them on the level of Dan Carlin’s Hardcore History. Thank you all for your work. P.S. Can’t wait for next year’s Scavenger Hunt and your Goals pod is the best piece of content you do in my opinion. For some reason I am also compelled to say, I go back and watch the Stapped: California episode 1 about every 4 months. The ending with Jon Prine’s ‘How Lucky’ playing gets me every single time. I appreciate what y’all do.

KVV’s piece on Calvin Peete is riveting! I’m crying in my car. I can’t let my wife see me like this. I’ll have to explain how a golf podcast wrecked me on the way home from dropping off our daughter at school. It’s ok though. I’ll get to share what I just heard, and one more person will know about the incredible existence of Calvin Peete. Thanks, and keep up the great work!

An enjoyable listen every time….the guys clearly love the game and are true fans. The content keeps getting better and better ….like the tee time special projects and the majors deep-dives as just a couple of examples. Keep up the great work!

First time I’ve ever listened to a podcast and as soon as it was over I immediately restarted it and listened again.

I loved this episode, Had no clue TC and Neil were brothers and I’ve been listening for 2 years! Loved the backstory and the goals of a realistic golfer! Please continue to do more of these! Loved it !!!

Funny that these guys are so pro-roll back but have no issues taking that Titleist money and going into ads about the “new” Pro-V1. Overall, Pretty enjoyable show once you skip the ads.

Ever since LIV-PGA Tour split happened I’ve slowly cared less about the week to week events from the tour but with the NLU deep dives and special projects it keeps everything fresh. The stories of golfers like the NYC guys trying to get bethpage tee times to the deep dives of majors/players keeps me reeled in. Nothing against the Valero and events like it but when NLU goes out of their way to make their own projects it’s much more interesting than what the tour can provide.
