If you are alive today, you are the beneficiary of God’s Grace! People so often go out of the way to prove their worthiness! Whether in our social circles or the public square, we crave honor, recognition, and esteem. Nevertheless, it must be understood that we are unworthy before God and that God’s kindness is not the result of our merit. It is all of God’s grace. As God was gracious to Israel in our Bible story, so is He gracious today to those who come to Him. We must shun overconfidence and pride and seek God and His word.
