More importantly, we talk about the reasons that your healthcare power of attorney is one of the most estate planning documents you can have. We also talk about the living will and how it can conflict with your healthcare power of attorney. 

And, unsurprisingly, we get into the Catholic faith, some Canon Law, and the rules around end of life care.

This episode is all about Illinois HB3653, known as the Safe-T Act. It stands for ‘Safety, Accountability, Fairness, and Equity-Today’ and we discuss, in depth, how this act really does not do much to keep the citizens of Illinois very safe, how it creates problems for our State's Attorneys, and the use of recognizance bonds for felonies.

In this episode the Catholic and the Heathen tackle the not-so-challenging role of the Catholic husband in marriage. We try to answer the question: how can you be a traditional Catholic and still honor your wife?

The question comes up because there exists an argument that traditional Catholic values and scripture only serve to oppress women and subjugate wives. Unsurprisingly, the Heathen calls BS on that one and the Catholic gives his views on the roles that men and women fulfill within a marriage.
