Life changing

This podcast is simply life changing. I have been listening for a few months, and it has thought me so much about my own dynamics, my childhood and my adult self. I feel empowered with more tools and empathy to understand and navigate life and relationships, in a way that completes and enriches therapy. Thank you Esther and all the callers, it’s a true gift to be on this journey with all of you.

Important information here. Insight into your relationships. Insight into who you are. Great listen.
Therapy is great; Salesy tone is off putting

I’m not one of the people who has purchased the subscription, and I don’t mind the premise of listening to a commercial, but I don’t know why I’m listening to Esther herself hocking products herself like a used car saleswoman. Am I really to believe that she has hand-selected babbel.com, MasterClass, Brookline sheets etc because they will further the mental health journey of the listeners? Its very jarring — just use regular advertisements or the voice of the announcer. Overall this highlights a turn toward the more commercial nature of this media venture. Also, I really miss the couples format. It’s so unique and much more compelling to listen to than the phone calls with individuals. She is at her most insightful when she’s helping two people see how different their scripts are from one another.
Just want to say…

To the March 31 caller: It is SO clear you are a generous, kind and loving person. You also so clearly working on emotional maturity. Respect! To Esther: Thanks for pointing out how nervous systems can keep reacting long after our minds have “forgiven” childhood abuses. And just for the record, what this caller described are abuses that would store up fear in any body. Helpful show for all of us working on versions of this situation. Thank you, Esther & all the callers!
