A Catholic Commentary on the Chosen

This podcast is worth listening to whether or not you are Catholic and whether or not you have watched The Chosen. The production quality is everything you expect from a great show, with high quality audio and great media clips woven into the conversation. The hosts have good chemistry and are knowledgeable about the subject matter. The show moves at a great pace. The Chosen provides the structure for the show: an artistic interpretation of Jesus’ ministry, disciples, and the era in which they took place. The hosts provide the listener with a great education in Catholic theology using this material. I’m really impressed with what they’ve done, and I’ve learned a lot while being entertained. The hosts are conversational and engaging — they offer insights while also asking each other thoughtful questions and tying in a wide variety of scripture and other sources into the topics they are talking about. With all of that said Catholic fans of The Chosen who are also interested in theology, like myself, will likely find this podcast to be especially good. I really would love to find more content like this. This is an evergreen podcast because the material and discussions are timeless. 10/10 highly recommend. Hoping for a Season 4.

I found the first three seasons to be extremely helpful. I loved watching an episode and then the commentary immediately afterwards, so much so that I haven’t watched any of season four yet hoping they will do the commentary soon!
