MFGCast

We don't just talk about the games you know, we talk about the games you *should* know! We also do other fun things like interviews, hard hitting convos, improvs, and more. The MFGCast: Breaking the board since 2012!

Witty banter, excellent coverage! What more can you want in a board gaming podcast?
Great People!

The MFGCast was the first podcast I ever had the pleasure of guesting on, and from that day Kurt has been extremely supportive of everything we do. The show is a decent mix of game reviews, creator interviews, and fun miscellaneous segments. My personal favorites are the Fantasy Improvs but that may be biased... I’m not a huge fan of board or card games so I tend to skip those episodes but the fun segments and the RPG episodes are great to listen to during my commute. Kurt gets so excited about stuff which I love to hear. He’s even working on designing a couple games which is a fun journey to watch!
The MFReview

The MFGCast discusses various aspects of gaming with great passion and interest. A manageable crew size makes sure that everyone gets to talk about their particular interests, dislikes and fondness of games & geek culture. There is occasional episodes where Kurt and Mike will get additional icons of the industry on for round table discussions, cross over episodes and ideal interviews that get you information and laughs without going too long about a particular designer/publisher that you may not be interested in. With an unparalleled formula of time, laughs, dedication and friendship, each episode is a great listen. Do yourself a favor and check it out!
It is fine.

As far as C tier board game podcasts go it is fine. Audio quality is what you would expect and the discussion is fine. Nothing that stands out and nothing that offends.
Laid back, yet interesting
07/29/2015
Let’s get the obvious out of the way, if you can’t stand a bad word here and there, this podcast is not for you. And really, it’s rare when it happens, but it does. Putting that aside, if you are into games and want a relaxed, laid-back podcast, the MFGcast podcast is for you. These guys discuss everything related to gaming, video games, board games, card games, you name it. The mood of the talk is very chilled. It really feels like you’re sitting with your pals and chatting up about the latest game you’re into. The titles of the episodes are self-explanatory, so you’ll have no problem finding the ones that interest you the most. For example, if you’re into video games or strategy games, then you can start by listening to those first. Note that because the conversation is laid back doesn’t mean that it’s not informative. You do get enough information to make the episode substantial without going too much into details that might make it heavy. There are interviews sometimes and they are very interesting. Again, the descriptions help you find the ones that are more interesting to you. For example, I was considering funding a project through kickstarted and I found an episode about kickstarted that was extremely useful. So, really, if like any type of gaming, and you want a podcast that’s interesting and fun, I seriously recommend MFGCast. Give it a try and you’ll see why.
Good Stuff

Great stuff guys, put together well. Professional enough to be easily heard and understood... But not too polished to appear fake or staged. You can tell you guys enjoy what you do and it comes across in the casts... Keep it up.
Love it!

Good Game Podcast

I like this podcast. They talk about the same games I play and they give a good view on them. Funny and informative. It's a gaming podcast with an original spin on games.
Good start

Listened to the podcast. It's a good start, but be sure to work on your editing/audio quality. Sometimes it sounds like you are talking across an open gymnasium, while other times it's clear as a bell. Also, the podcast should be a little more succinct. Editing can fix lots of this, so don't worry too much about it - just keep working at it. Otherwise, about 45 minutes of this was gold! Try to focus on that stuff, and why it worked as you go forward. I look forward to more!
This gaming podcast rocks!

There's a lot of podcasts about gaming, but this one is pretty great. The game talk and banter is funny and the weird games segment is hilarious. Can't wait for the new episodes!
