No Contact, Low Contact, and Grey Rock Methods with Narcissists
In this podcast, I discuss the difference between no-contact, low-contact, and grey rocking with a narcissist. I take a deep dive into when it's appropriate for you to go no-contact versus low-contact. I also discuss the parameters around grey rocking and why it shouldn't be used long-term unless absolutely necessary. None of these methods should be used to punish the abuser or to get them to contact you more.

You are saving lives, saving mine
Dr. Jones thank you so much for creating this podcast- just a few episodes have opened my eyes and helped me understand that danger I’m in and the abuse that I’ve tolerated and mistaken for love for too long. This podcast is giving me the courage and validation I needed (from the appropriate place) to face my truth and take action to save my own life. With what you have created here you have saved and continue to save my life. I can’t express how much it means to hear your message and have it come from a Black woman of your expertise and experience level. Thank you for what you have done for me, for I am now on the path to getting myself my life my agency and my voice back. I have a request for a future episode/ series of episodes- while what you present is so clear and easy for me to identify myself in, I’d love to hear some topics around the relationship between queerness, mysognoir, and abuse. As a Black queer womxn survivor, I’m very curious about how those intersections impact abusive relationship dynamics. This is something I’m very interested in after learning that lesbians and bisexual women/people experience abuse at rates disproportionately higher than straight women/people. Either way, you have a listener and supporter for life in me!
Guidelines
Since earlier this year, I have been binge listening to the podcast. I started at the beginning and am going in order. I just finished the episode on Quality Men. It was very insightful and informative. I was I had this early on in life to help me avoid wrong choices. We should be sharing this information starting with early teens, teenagers and young women. I especially related to the part about paying attention to when a man gets mad and his reaction. I enjoy the podcast. Please keep up the good work. You are helping us in many ways. Thank you!
