The More Perfect Union

I liked the first episode I listened to, but couldn’t keep track of the voices. I wrote to suggest bios of the hosts would be helpful and one day later BOOM there they are on the website. Unexpected personal response from Kevin was so nice. I’m ready for the next episode

Since they continue to thoughtlessly refer to students protesting against the the active slaughter of Palestinian civilians as "pro-Hamas," I have to say goodbye to this once great podcast after 8 years. This show has become Fox News circa 2003 "the protestors hate America, and are pro-Saddam, pro al Qaeda." Give me a break. I was so excited when DJ and Rebecca came back. This show had been a comforting rock during stormy political times. It wouldn't be so bad if even one of you challenged that view and offered some nuance. I expected much better from this crew but I just can't suffer it anymore.

I used to listen to this podcast religiously since its inception and stopped when 2 hosts left and now they’re back and I’ve been listening again. I appreciated the four different perspectives and all that I learned and I am beginning to see their privilege. Wow. To their lack of empathy and willful ignorance of history, oppression, and hostility that people undergo in their country. But I guess it doesn’t matter since they haven’t experienced it themselves nor will they ever because of the color of their skin. After their latest episode, I’ve been questioning whatever I bought into from them these past few years. Be careful of who’s version of revisionist history and perspective or current affairs you are listening to.

This podcast could be a five star pod, but DJ is bringing this show down. DJ has the most asinine and uninspired takes; period, end of paragraph, last page in the book.
